This year, a strong and highly motivated team of established and young players was sent to the Carinthian General Class Team Championships.
The host golf club was GC Nassfeld. Here, our general men's team had the goal of achieving promotion to Division 1.
On the first day, our players competed against the team from GC Velden/Wörthersee. As expected, it was a very even and exciting match, which was then decided by our club champion Dion Walker on the 4th extra hole for the GC Millstätter See.
On the second day, our men's team faced a tough opponent in GC Finkenstein. Our captain, Rainer Kleinfercher, motivated all the players again before the round. As last year, the decision was made in a play-off. Our double, with the players - Alexander Thompson and Alexander Eder, was unbeatable on this day and was able to force the decision on the 3rd extra hole. The unthinkable was achieved and promotion to the championship group was secured.
